South Carolina Elementary Music Standards
Every South Carolina Elementary general music standard in one place, grade by grade, with the Prodigies lesson that teaches each one.
South Carolina elementary music is taught to the South Carolina College- and Career-Ready Standards for Music (2017), published by the South Carolina Department of Education in 2017.
They are built on the National Core Arts Standards, organized by the four artistic processes: Creating, Performing, Responding, and Connecting.
South Carolina writes its standards by proficiency level instead of grade. Most elementary general music students work from Novice Low through Intermediate Low, so those are the levels on this page.
